More than 220 people will work daily so that Murcia is in perfect condition during the Fair (05/09/2019)

The Department of Sustainable Mobility and Youth, directed by Rebeca Pérez, together with Ferrovial Services, has programmed a cleaning and waste collection plan for the next days of the Feria de Murcia in which 226 people will work on average every day in the city and in the party enclosures.

To the 189 people who work daily in the urban area, an average of 37 are added daily that will provide service specifically during these days.

Among the special services that will be launched are the daily manual scanning service of the venues in which events are held, the mechanical sweeping with sweepers, the mechanical scrubbing and the mechanical beading with buckets and hydrolycleability of corners, before, during and after the acts.

In addition, from the experience of previous years, where more than 100,000 kilograms of waste are collected in the venues where the parties are held, 230 garbage containers and 123 units of portable public toilets have been installed.

In the Orchards of the Malecon garden, which will be operating from September 5 to 16, a daily maintenance cleaning will be carried out in addition to intensive cleaning for the opening of September 5.

Two containers will be placed in each Garden, another 32 distributed by the different establishments and 25 in the Gastrovin area.

In addition, 8 additional 120-liter bins and bins have been installed and will be collected daily, as well as 10 portable toilets.

In the enclosure of the dissuasive parking lot of the Malecon where the celebration of the Young Orchards is scheduled for the nights of Friday the 13th and Saturday September 14th, there will be 12 waste containers and 10 portable toilets.

The Fica has 30 800-liter containers that will be collected daily to which 24 units of 360-liter containers and 11 portable toilets are added, while in the Medieval Camp of Moors and Christians 2 containers have been placed for each kábila or mesada and 10 portable toilets.

This year as a novelty a special device will be organized on the occasion of the river walk 'Murcia Rio', where numerous performances and exhibitions are planned.

So on the promenade that connects El Malecón and La Fica paper bins will be installed and a daily cleaning service will be available throughout the tour, with special emphasis on the piers enabled for the transport of cruise passengers.

Likewise, special attention will be given to events that will be held in this environment such as 'A River of Cinema' scheduled for the nights of September 9, 10 and 11 or the aerobatic exhibition of birlochas scheduled for the 14.

Likewise, the collection and cleaning services will be intensified in the rest of the locations, such as the Teniente Flomesta garden for the exhibition of animals, Plaza de la Paja and the river's surroundings.

Also Floridablanca and Hernández del Águila on the occasion of Horse Day scheduled for September 8.

In Murcia Parque, Parque Fofó auditorium, Plaza de la Cruz Roja, and Plaza de Toros, portable toilets will be placed, as they are areas of great influx of Murcia.

For the Popular Verbenas scheduled for September 13, 14 and 15 in the Red Cross Square, 5 portable toilets and 3 waste containers will be placed.

For the Murcia Pop concert, which will take place on the night of September 16, a post-event device is planned with the aim of making the area completely clean the next day.

Finally, the event for which the most important action plan has been organized is the Romería de la Virgen de la Fuensanta.

This special device is developed over four days, and 119 people and 41 vehicles will work.

On September 16, the surroundings of the Fuensanta will be cleaned, using a total of 12 people with machinery.

During the day of the Pilgrimage, the garbage collection schedule of that area will be advanced so that the containers located along the route are empty first thing in the morning.

On the 17th, at 6 o'clock, a review of the itinerary will be carried out contemplating the container points and the wastebaskets.

On the tour, 12 separate collection points and 62 portable toilets will be placed.

After Mass, in Belluga Square and in La Glorieta, specialist pawns with a scrubber and a pressure washer will clean the remains of wax.

Likewise, 3,000 wax-holder candle holders will be distributed among the pilgrims, to be placed in the candles and avoid the spillage of the wax on the pavement and possible accidents.

Behind the entourage, there will be a special team consisting of 4 foremen, 14 drivers 4 specialist laborers, 16 cleaning laborers, 2 Cuba trucks, 2 multilift trucks with boxes, 10 road sweepers and 4 sidewalk sweepers.

During the two days after the Pilgrimage, cleaning work will be carried out in the surroundings of the Fuensanta with 3 foremen, 8 drivers, forty-three laborers, 2 collection trucks, 1 tank truck, three road sweepers and two multilift trucks.
