The PSOE proposes an audit on the state of public kindergartens before the new transfer of students from Beniaján (04/09/2019)

The Socialist Municipal Group considers that a detailed audit of the state of children's schools in the municipality is urgent, since after the closure of the one located in Algezares, we now check how the government team has approved the transfer of 33 students from the school of Beniaján when "serious deficiencies" are detected.

For Councilman Antonio Benito, "it is not uncommon to meet the deterioration of nursery schools, built more than 30 years ago, during socialist governments, because the government team has not taken care of its maintenance. It is what happens when you don't believe in public school. "

In this regard, he notes that "the educational policy of the PP in the range of 0 to 3 years has been to abandon or tear down while promoting conciliation centers, privately managed but in public facilities, with higher prices and, as companies that they are, oriented to seek profit, and public education is not a business. "

"As we see in the last Government Board, with some nocturnality, perhaps to avoid the mobilization of parents as it happened in Algezares when it was decided to move the children to El Palmar, it has been approved to lease premises so that the students attend class given the deterioration of the floor and the false ceiling. We do not know what is happening, so we will insist on an audit of the seven nursery schools in the municipality, "says the councilor.

He also warns that "now, in Beniaján, children will move to rented premises, 700 meters from the current school and that it will imply an additional cost to the works themselves of 50,000 euros.

"The policy of patching and improvisation may have short-term results but it is not good to keep and maintain in the best conditions facilities that house our children," says Benito, who recalls that in 24 years of PP government not A single public nursery school has been created.
