On the occasion of the Murcia Fair 2019, the Molinos del Río_Caballerizas Space has organized until September 11 a sample of traditional instruments belonging to the Torreagüera Gang.
In total, the exhibition, which opens this afternoon, shows 30 pieces stored over the years that already form an interesting collection of this gang from the garden as bandurrias, tambourines, cymbals, false pieces, guitars, lute and violins, all of them of great value for these musicians and for the whole garden of Murcia.
Sounds that identify us for many years.
Alberto Hidalgo, a member of the Torreagüera Gang, explains in the booklet of the exhibition that "the group has established that one of its main objectives is the study of the instrumentation used in our area of influence. Fundamentally, recover the instruments used by the old musicians, keep them in use to preserve the musical features of the past and provide a material heritage that allows citizens to know their history, their rituals and their music. "
The exhibition can be visited at the usual museum hours, from Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm and, in the afternoon, from 5 pm to 8 pm, until September 11.
