The professor of the University of Murcia, Rosa Hervás, has joined the board of directors of the Committee on Education and Cultural Action (CECA) of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) as Research Coordinator at an event that took place on August 31 in The Kyoto National Museum.
Hervás is a professor at the UMU Faculty of Education and has extensive experience in museum research.
From 2009 to 2018 he has coordinated the master 'Education and Museums.
Heritage, Identity and Cultural Mediation ';
one of the titles that the UMU offers in online mode.
The reasons that have led the researcher to apply for this position are, among others, "the desire to improve the services offered by the CECA International Network of researchers and the conviction that all innovation requires a process of reflection and research to improve professional practice. "
The International Council of Museums (ICOM) is a non-governmental organization of museum professionals dedicated to the conservation, study and communication of culture that brings together 30,000 members from 137 countries.
The Committee on Education and Cultural Action (CECA) is one of its largest and oldest committees, whose members are professionals working in different sectors of museums, or in institutions related to them, such as educators, teachers, communicators or interpreters interested in the application of education and cultural action.
For the University of Murcia it represents a great joy that one of its teachers and researchers is part of a committee of these characteristics.
