The heart of Murcia welcomes today and tomorrow the biggest 3x3 basketball show in Spain (28/06/2019)

Herbalife 3x3 arrives in the capital of the Region with a spectacular assembly, 130 games and the presence of more than 200 athletes who will compete throughout 12 hours of basketball.

The central track, located in Belluga, will be the soul of the competition, with live broadcasts and a stand with a capacity for 500 people.

The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, along with the Councilor for Sports and Health, Felipe Coello, the director of Madison Sport Marketing, Isabel Mateos, the Director of Competitions of the Spanish Basketball Federation, Elisa Aguilar, the Head of Communication of Herbalife Nutrition Spain, Carlos Mañoso, and the president of the Murcian Basketball Federation, Juan Carlos Hernandez, today presented the Herbalife 3x3 Series Murcia Open sporting event, the largest 3x3 basketball show in Spain, which hosts the Plaza Belluga this afternoon and tomorrow Saturday.

"Murcia lives this weekend the national meeting of basketball 3x3, a modality that will be Olympic in the Tokyo 2020 games," said Mayor José Ballesta, who recalled that "this event is part of our commitment to organize in Murcia, less once a month, an event of great magnitude, whether sporting, cultural or leisure, thus increasing tourist traffic during the off-season. The municipality of Murcia hosted last year more than 5,000 events between festivals, shows, sporting events, etc., which have helped to break records in the tourism sector, surpassing the historic barrier of 750,000 overnight stays per year.

It is a national event that includes 130 basketball games that will be played between this afternoon and tomorrow Saturday, 12 hours of basketball for which more than 200 players will pass -120 in the professional competition and another hundred amateurs-, in four courts of game: the center in Belluga and the other three annexes in the Garden of the Red Cross.

The event has a spectacular assembly with giant screens, show cheerleaders, new technologies, contests, exhibitions and music.

Belluga hosts the central court with seating for 500 people

The central track located in the Plaza Belluga will be the soul of the competition, with live broadcast and a stand with a capacity for approximately 500 people.

This afternoon and tomorrow, Saturday, the central court will light up to host the last matches of each day, with a spectacular assembly with music, speaker, animation, raffles and contests.

It is a male and female 3x3 basketball competition, under the FEB License, included in the official FIBA3x3 calendar, and which will therefore be governed by official rules and FIBA ​​competition rules.

Schedules, triple and mattes contest

Both today and tomorrow, unofficial matches will start at 6:00 pm on all four tracks.

The officers will start at 9:00 pm and continue until midnight.

On Saturday, Belluga Square will host at 7:00 pm there will be a triple, math and skill contest.

At 9:00 pm the semifinals will begin, which will give way to the finals.

3x3 Basket: more intensity and emotion

The Basket 3x3 is a modality that is constantly growing and that increasingly have greater interest for players and the public.

The 3x3 has become a way to practice basketball, more spectacular, with more intensity, more speed, more emotion and the same competitiveness.

3x3 Series is the Official 3x3 Competition created by the Spanish Basketball Federation, which will be held in various venues throughout the national territory and will culminate with a Final Master that will determine the national champions of the 3x3 Men and Women Series.
