Murcia launches a new kiosk model for the sellers of ONCE coupons (27/06/2019)

The booth has two points of sale attention, guarantees universal accessibility and has Braille phrases on its sides, among other improvements.

Murcia has been distinguished with the Queen Letizia award for the promotion of Universal Accessibility, an award that José Ballesta will pick up at the hands of Her Majesty the Queen, on July 9 in Almagro.

Currently the municipality has 52 positions of the ONCE.

It is expected that more renovated kiosks will be installed in the coming months in order to improve the sales experience.

The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, along with the councilor of Social Rights and Family, Pilar Torres, the councilor for the Elderly, Disability and Development Cooperation, Paqui Pérez, and the territorial delegate in Murcia of the National Organization of the Blind of Spain, Juan Carlos Morejón, attended today the inauguration of the new kiosk of the ONCE, a model of renovated cabin that has been installed in the Gran Vía, at the height of nº23, and that supposes an important functional and commercial improvement both for the sellers and for the public, with a design that guarantees universal accessibility requirements.

José Ballesta stressed that "throughout these more than 80 years of fruitful existence, the ONCE has not lost the principles of its foundational spirit: to make visible the obstacles that do not allow all people to have a full and inclusive life and to work for the effective equality of opportunities for all human beings. "

"Therefore, from the City of Murcia we will continue supporting each of the projects and initiatives promoted by this organization is a social reference," said the mayor, who recalled some of the joint projects that have already materialized in Murcia, as full inclusion in the public transport network (urban buses and tram accessible to the visually impaired through the Navilens system), smart pedestrian crossings (Pasblue system) or cooking workshops for blind people, among other initiatives.

We must remember that Murcia has been distinguished with the Queen Letizia award for the promotion of Universal Accessibility of Municipalities, an international distinction, promoted by the Royal Board on Disability, and which José Ballesta will pick up from the hands of His Majesty the Queen on the next 9 July in Almagro (Ciudad Real).

52 stands of sale of the ONCE

Murcia currently has 52 sales outlets of the ONCE (47 in different public spaces at street level and 5 in shopping centers).

It is expected that more renovated kiosks will be installed in the coming months in order to improve the sales experience of the seller and the buyer.

In Spain, the renewal of the ONCE kiosks began last year.

In the Region, Murcia joins the renovation of the cabins next to the cities of Cartagena and Molina de Segura.

Functionality, safety and ergonomics

The new kiosk, with clean and modern lines, has two points of sale that consist of a window, a coin tray and a laminated safety glass support shelf, respectively.

One of them is in the front of the kiosk, while the other occupies the width of the door, complying with the regulations on accessibility in terms of height, to effectively serve customers who use wheelchairs.

Likewise, all the exhibition areas are designed so that the seller with the need to use a wheelchair can work without difficulty.

In addition, the cabin has braille phrases on its outer sides.

In this way, pedestrians can identify that it is a kiosk of the ONCE, facilitating the identification of the institution.

The strategic position of the different exhibition areas allows the client to view the entire range of game products.

The kiosk has air conditioning and a new lighting system with LED technology both inside and outside, with the aim of ensuring low energy consumption and greater durability over time.

The backlit luminous poster of the corporate brand image also uses LED technology.
