About a thousand children will be able to enjoy the 19 summer schools of the cultural centers of the municipality (08/06/2019)

The Department of Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs, through cultural centers, has returned to organize an extensive program of summer schools.

In total there will be 19 summer schools in which 945 places are offered, of which 3 summer schools with 170 places respond to a joint work approach with the Department of Social Rights.

Other councils also collaborate such as Education (use of public schools), Sports (use of swimming pools and sports pavilions) and Municipal Boards.

Children born between 2007 and 2012, both inclusive, will be able to enjoy these activities in the summer schools of Casillas, Javalí Nuevo, Sangonera La Seca, El Palmar, Sangonera La Verde, Zarandona, San Pío X, El Raal , Cobatillas, El Esparragal, Llano De Brujas, Los Dolores, La Alberca, TorreagĂźera, Los Garres, Beniaján, Algezares, Zeneta and Sucina

This year's program will offer a series of workshops and activities that have as their central theme 'The Comic and Illustration' and two unique projects: the VI Classrooms of Artistic-Scientific Creation (batucada, comic, audiovisual creation and urban dance workshops) in Beniaján and with the collaboration of CEPAIM;

and the ARTe AL Project, which will carry out activities related to comics, anime theater and urban dances in the Algezares Auditorium.

The dates of completion of the Schools are from July 1 to July 12 and the schedule of activities is from 10 to 13 hours in general.

Councilman Jesus Pacheco explained that "we seek to enable the realization of alternative leisure activities in children's free time during the summer, which enhance the creative capacity, fostering attitudes of tolerance and solidarity and promoting training in techniques and activities of workshops that can be applied later in summer leisure "

In this edition, the playful aspects, knowledge of the world of comics and illustration are promoted, promoting artistic sensibility and the taste for art in all its facets and promoting in the minors healthy habits in relation to food and environment.

The most common contents of the Summer School program will include activities and workshops related to comics, anime theater, dances, costumes, illustrations and outdoor games, as well as excursions to museums, skating rink in Elche, swimming pools. ..

The registration period is from June 11 to 14.

Instances will be presented from 17 to 21 hours, in each center.

The publication of the list of admitted will be on June 24.
