The sanitary, technological, industrial, agricultural and food sectors, together with different business associations and the third sector, as well as professional associations and representatives of the administration, participated in the event and presented their employment proposals to the students of the Catholic University.
The Technological Institute of Murcia of the UCAM (ITM) organized Job Day 2019, the employment fair of the Catholic University, in which many companies and associations approached the Campus of Los Jerónimos in search of candidates to cover job opportunities that they offer each one of them.
Companies like Zukan, Leroy Merlin, Pc Components, Soltec, Suez, Primafrío, Everis, Grupo Fuertes, etc.
they had the opportunity to approach the students of the last courses of the University and transfer the existing job opportunities in their organizations.
One of the participants, Lorena Salar, Marnys Human Resources worker, marketer of natural nutrition and beauty products, explains that, "companies demand very technological profiles, both for production in the factory and technologists, they are also looking for graduates in health" .
The Cartagena Navy also offered its offer of places to students.
Jesús García, second lieutenant of the Recruitment Section of the Navy of Cartagena, declared that places are annually held for people who finish the Degrees in Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Nursing, ADE and Law.
Both companies and associations and professional associations were present at their stands located in the cloister of the Jerónimos Monastery.
Throughout the day the students could also know the labor trends and opportunities presented by the changing current employment market in the hands of various speakers.
Representatives of the Murcian Health Service, the armed forces, SATSE and Unión Murciana de Hospitales explained to the attendees the current situation of the public offer of employment in a talk moderated by Paloma Echevarría, dean of the Faculty of Nursing of the UCAM.
The Labor Orientation Service of the UCAM, SOIL, was also present at the conference, explaining the offer of curricular and extracurricular practices that is managed from this department, as well as the curricular orientation and preparation for job interviews offered every day to the students of the University.
