Terra Natura Murcia will host its first day of hemodonation on Friday (04/06/2019)

The collaboration between Terra Natura, the City Council, the Regional Blood Donation Center and the Autonomous Community will allow the nature park to host its first day of hemodonation on Friday, June 7.

The act of signing the collaboration agreement was attended by the Councilor for the Modernization of Administration and Urban Development in office, José Guillén, the acting Health Minister, Manuel Villegas, the director of the Regional Blood Donation Center, Vicente Vicente, and the director of Terra Natura Murcia, Gustavo Martínez.

Thus, the animal and aquatic park sponsors an initiative that aims to get the necessary reserves so that hospitals can respond to the increase in demand for blood that occurs during the summer.

The day in which all Murcia will be able to show their solidarity by donating blood will be held next Friday, June 7 from 5 to 9 pm at the park's Summer School.

To encourage the donation and thank this gesture Terra Natura will give the donors a free entrance to enjoy the zoo and the aquatic.

This pass will be valid on June 8, 9 or 10.

Donors must be between 18 and 65 years of age, weighing 50 kilograms or more, not suffer from anemia and be in good health.

Likewise, during the summer, Terra Natura will distribute information about the spaces enabled, conditions and benefits of donating blood and will offer discounts for access to the park to all donors from the rest of the locations to which the solidarity caravan of the Regional Center will be moved. of Hemodonation.

The Councilor for the Modernization of Urban Administration and Development in office, José Guillén, stressed that "Terra Natura once again demonstrates that it is much more than a zoo and that with this initiative it shows us its most supportive aspect by integrating this blood donation campaign in the actions of social responsibility that it develops habitually.We must remember that the '12 months with you 'program is already being developed in which a monthly action is carried out aimed at groups with specific needs ".

The actions of '12 months with you 'are developed together with NGOs and entities that work with these groups, such as Todos Somos Campus (UMU and ONCE), ACOFAMT, Murcia Norte Social Services Center, D'Genes, Abamurcia, Project 13-17, FADE, ASSIDO, Adaner Murcia, Proyecto Hombre, Proyecto Abraham and CEOM.
