The Councilor for Infrastructure, Public Works and Public Services, Rebeca Pérez, has visited the works that are being executed on different roads in Churra and Sangonera la Seca in order to improve the accessibility and safety of pedestrians.
Thus, in Churra work is being done to create a sidewalk on Calle Mayor, since on the right side, the northeast direction, this infrastructure is not available.
In this way it is possible to improve the safety of the pedestrians who pass along this street by executing a pedestrian route at a different level of the road destined for vehicular traffic, connecting with the existing stretches of sidewalk.
The sidewalk that is going to be executed is provisional, since it runs through urban sectors that are still undeveloped, being susceptible to modification once these are developed.
Due to this provisionality, it is paved with colored printed concrete.
The budget of these works, whose execution period is three months, amounts to 30,002 euros.
For its part, Sangonera la Seca is working on the execution of sidewalks on the Carretera de Mazarrón (RM603) as it passes through the neighborhood of Molino de la Vereda
Currently, this road does not have sidewalks to go from the village of Cordel de los Valencianos Windmill to the Hermitage, this route being quite busy.
On the other hand, the hard shoulder of the Lorca avenue from the Barrio de los Quintos to the bus stop in front of Río Guadiana street, is also very busy with no sidewalks.
The sidewalks are projected with a colored concrete pavement
The budget for this project, which is included in the Plan for Peripheral, Deprived and / or Depressed Districts and Districts 2018-2019 of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, is 38,596 euros and the deadline of three months
