Dionisio García, archbishop of Santiago de Cuba, has made a visit to the San Antonio Catholic University of Murcia with the purpose of strengthening the existing bonds between this and the Cuban community.
In addition, he has been able to talk with the president of the UCAM, José Luis Mendoza.
In this meeting, the archbishop has been interested in the students of the university, as well as the educational model carried out by the Catholic University.
For his part, José Luis Mendoza has been able to see how the different educational activities are being developed through which the UCAM collaborates with Cuba.
This collaboration is given thanks to the project 'The Cuban Currency: Training Program for Youth', recognized in 2016 with the "Award for Excellence".
Through this program, students, who have neither work nor professional training, can perform different training cycles under the umbrella of the UCAM, specializing in different areas such as cooking, cuisine, languages ​​or protocol.
Graduation ceremony in Cuba
The UCAM graduated, on May 18, more than one hundred students who make up the second class of University Technician in Cooking and Gastronomy in Cuba.
