The installation of LED luminaires in Monteagudo will reduce the emission of CO2 into the atmosphere by 9 tons (29/05/2019)

The Department of Infrastructure, Public Works and Services is developing lighting improvement works in different districts of the municipality.

The Councilor Rebeca Pérez has visited Monteagudo where the lighting is being renovated in La Luz Street, Camino Mundo Nuevo, San José de la Cueva street and Tirso de Molina street in Las Lumbreras

In La Luz Street, a total of 12 points of light will be installed with LED technology of 44.5 W of power.

Thus, the total installed power will be 534 W while the previous one was 1,320 W.

In Camino Mundo Nuevo a total of 14 points of light will be installed with LED technology of 39 W of power, reducing the power from 1,540 W to 546 W.

In San José de la Cueva Street, a total of 17 points of light will be installed with LED technology of 44.5 and 30 W of power, going from a power of 2,035 W to 713 W.

This renovation will also affect Las Lumbreras, in Calle Tirso de Molina where a total of 17 points of light will be installed with LED technology of 39 W of power.

The total installed power will be 663 W and the previous power was 1,870 W.

Most of the points of light will be installed on metal poles of 8, 2 meters high with overhead lines while the rest will go on arms in front.

With these actions of renovation of obsolete facilities in Monteagudo, a reduction in consumption of 18,300 kw-hour is achieved, an annual economic saving of around 2,500 euros and 9 tons of CO2 will be released into the atmosphere.
