Cs sets the basis for an agreement with the Municipal Trade Federation to turn Murcia into the largest open commercial center in Spain (17/05/2019)

and in parking lots and public transport for users of small businesses or of proximity |

The head of list to the Mayorship of Murcia, Mario Go'mez, and the number 3 of the municipal candidacy, Pedro Garci'a Rex, have maintained today a meeting with the president of the Federation of Merchants of Murcia, Santiago Vera, to reach an agreement and develop a strategic plan in the medium term capable of enhancing traditional trade and prevent some of them having to close.

In this way, Mario Gómez is committed to turning Murcia into the largest open commercial center in Spain.

"This is our objective, to take advantage of our climate and the life that there is in the streets of our municipality to relaunch the activity of the trade of always, the one of you, both in the center of the city, as in our neighborhoods and districts, in short, recover local commerce ".

Who else recycles, less pays

The candidate of Cs has also made reference to point-to-point selective collection and the establishment of bonuses for those merchants and businessmen who recycle the most through the "Whoever recycles, less pays" plan.

Parking discounts and public transport

Another of the measures of Citizens refers to the constitution of a Working Table where all those involved feel to study and plan the implementation of a series of discounts in parking and public transport for those users who justify their purchase.

"With this measure we want to encourage purchases and consumption in the small establishments of the center, neighborhoods and districts.

The small merchants are the best ambassadors of Murcia, we must support them because they generate life in our streets and also boost the economic and social activity of the municipality, being the engine of employment in Murcia ".

Awareness campaigns

To finish, Mario Gómez has emphasized the need to carry out "awareness campaigns, continuously and with an adequate media plan, capable of raising awareness among Murcians and encouraging and motivating the purchase in small shops so that they continue generating employment and wealth, giving identity and vitality, quality, commitment and close treatment ".
