The City of Murcia, through the Department of Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs, led by Jesús Pacheco, has organized various activities that will take place tomorrow, Friday and Saturday, on the occasion of the Day and Night of the Museums.
The five municipal museums (Palacio Almudí, Ramón Gaya Museum, Museum of Science and Water, Espacio Molinos del Río, City Museum) have organized an extensive program to which the Artistic Laboratory of Carmen and the San Esteban deposit.
This program includes guided tours, inaugurations of exhibitions, short films, concerts and dance, and concerts, planetarium sessions with the aim of "that Murcia enter the museums and know the importance of these spaces in the development of our society, transmitting knowledge , educating and promoting the integral development of people ", explained the Councilor for Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs, Jesús Pacheco.
Among all the programming, the following activities stand out:
Museum of Science and Water: On Friday, from 10 am to 8 pm, a scientific gymkhana will take place through the different rooms of the museum, while on Saturday, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, 'Ingenioteka' will be held, a mobile games of wit, logic and skill.
Later, from 8:30 pm to 10:30 pm, the Dinópolis Parade will be celebrated through the Science Square and adjacent streets.
There will also be planetarium sessions for children and adults.
Los Molinos del Río: On Saturday, from 9 pm to 10 pm, the activity 'Portraits in the museum with the photographer Frédéric Volkringer' will take place.
In addition, 30 years of this space will take center stage in this edition.
Ramón Gaya Museum: Of its programming highlights the concert of the Wind Quintet of the Youth Orchestra of the Region of Murcia to be held on Saturday at 9:30 pm, In addition, there will be two special guided tours: one in English on Saturday 12:30 hours, by the poet Teresa Vicente, and another accessible with a Spanish sign language interpreter, at 7:00 p.m.
City Museum: In addition to various guided tours, the Museum of the City will host on Friday, at 7:00 pm, the activity 'Writing the Museum', a guided tour through texts of students of the Literary Creation Workshop
Artistic Laboratory of Carmen: On Saturday at 12 noon a jazz recital will be held at the door of the LAC by Groove in Combo and different writers from the region will leave their texts written in a giant book installed at the entrance.
Later, at 12.15 there will be a meeting of artists with art notebooks that will explain their work: Salvador Torres, Virginia Bernal, Ana Piñera, Luis Izquierdo, Concha Martínez Montalvo, Paulina Real, Antonio Vidal Maiquez, José María Garres, Sofía Tornero, Petrus Borgia, Ramón Pastor, Ana Almela, José Miguel Masiá, Ruben Zambudio, María José Cardona, Ana Martinez, Carol Rossi, Abellán Juliá.
Also, Murcia and visitors can enjoy visits to the site of San Esteban, on Saturday at 21.30 and 22.30 hours, registering at www.estrategiamurcia.es.
