Next Saturday, May 18, Avenida Alfonso X el Sabio will host the City of Murcia Chess Festival organized thanks to the collaboration between the Department of Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs and various associations related to this sport.
Throughout the day different activities will be developed on the street to bring the chess closer to all audiences.
Thus, among all activities highlights the simultaneous departure of the national pentacampeona Sabrina Vega and the Murcia José Carlos Ibarra with 20 people.
There will also be 'flash games' of world-class players, 'blind' games, workshops, and storytelling.
The schedules and activities of the event are the following:
10:30 am: Masterful display of lightning chess games where we can see world-class players such as the national pentacampeona Sabrina Vega or the Great Master Murcia José Carlos Ibarra play exciting games against different teachers fide, regional and national champions.
10: 30-14: 00 hours: Chess and pre-chess workshops and blind game chess monitors will be available to attendees to play games, explain different chess skills, introduction to this fascinating game among many other surprises.
12: 00 hours: Chess storytelling, very entertaining activity for children and adults.
5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.: Chess, pre-chess and DEPARTURE TO THE BLIND workshops, new vespentine session, new opportunity to learn and enjoy chess.
In addition, a new game will be made to the blind in the giant chess.
5:00 pm: Simultaneous of Sabrina Vega.
The great Canarian teacher will play with 20 people at a time
5:00 pm: Simultaneous of Jose Carlos Ibarra.
The great Murcian master will also face 20 people at a time
