Nine chefs compete in the CreaMurcia of gastronomy with a recipe based on michirones (15/05/2019)

The Tourist Qualification Center will host tomorrow Thursday, from 17.30, the end of Gastronomy CreaMurcia contest in which nine chefs will prepare their recipes with michirones, thus putting value on recipes and products that have always been linked to the cuisine of Murcia and that may be versioned by the contestants, which should surprise the jury.

The participants are Salvador Martínez Martínez, with Wantán de michirones, Iberian scallop, passioned tomatoes in pomegranate and passion fruit sauce;

Pedro Andrés Bender Frías with Fajita de michirones, sautéed with crayfish and pea and ali oli de lima;

Juan Azorín Hernández with El Michiron;

Ricardo Lozano Alcázar, with Michirones, you drink tender and flat Murcia;

Miguel Jiménez Romero, with cream of michirones with spicy and crunchy sphere;

José Fernando Tomás Reig with Royal de sautido de chato, ravioli de michirones, cooking juice, pickles and blini of sobrasada mousse with cheese;

They will have two hours to prepare their recipe.

They will have at their disposal all kinds of appliances and kitchen utensils to be able to use the latest technology in their elaborations and presentations.

This new edition, promoted by the Youth Service dependent on the Department of Infrastructure, Public Works and Services, is open to the assistance of anyone who wants to enjoy culinary creations or support the participants.

The first contestant will start at 17.30 and the rest will be incorporated one by one in periods of 10 minutes.

The winner will receive a prize of 1,500 euros while the two second prizes will be awarded with 500 euros.

The jury will be chaired by the councilor Rebeca Pérez and composed by the institutional relations manager of the CCT Marta Ceballos, the food critic Sergio Gallego and the chefs Juan Pablo Ortiz and Lorena Pellicer, and acting as secretary Juan Albaladejo.

To determine which is the best chef of the CreaMurcia Contest, you will value not only the elaboration and complexity of the development of your dish, but also the presentation to the jury, the creativity or the harmony between the chosen ingredients and the taste qualities of the products.

After the participation of the eight young chefs, and after the jury's deliberations, the winners of this new edition will be announced.
