The University of Murcia (UMU) celebrates this week its XI Erasmus Staff Training Week, a week of training for administration and services staff within the framework of the Erasmus + Program, in which 52 representatives from 44 universities from around the world participate.

The opening ceremony took place this morning at the School of Social Work and was chaired by the Vice-Chancellor for Internationalization, Senena Corbalán.

From this Monday until next Friday the participants will know the operation of the administration and management services of the University of Murcia through multiple activities.

The work program will be carried out in different centers of the University and includes presentation sessions of the different services, Spanish language and culture course, management comparisons, meetings with staff of the services involved, visit to the Polytechnic University of Cartagena , presentation of proposals for joint work, presentation of projects of interest to the members involved in this activity and discussions on work networks to promote the processes of internationalization of universities.

In addition, they will visit the facilities of the Sustainable Campus, the General Library, the Archive of Ancient Books and the Optics Laboratory.

Also for the first time, within the framework of this European week, an Intensive Spanish Course of 20 hours for members of foreign universities has been organized together with the Language Service of the UMU.

In the organization of this edition they have collaborated with the International Relations Area, the University Library, ATICA and SIU with the aim of giving visibility among our partners to the management carried out in the UMU, being also an opportunity to learn sharing good practices .

Through agreements signed with European partners and from other continents by the Erasmus + International Mobility action (erasmusmi.um.es), in this edition participating universities from 23 different countries: Germany, Algeria, Angola, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Brazil, China, Croatia, the United States, France, Hungary, Indonesia, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Thailand, Tunisia and Ukraine.
