"With this program we will reduce inequality and build an equitable and just municipality for all Murcia and Murcia" (13/05/2019)

The mayoral candidate of Murcia by Podemos-Equo has presented the program with which he wants to get to the Glorieta, destined to apply measures that have as objective "to improve the day to day of the neighbors and to build a model of city in that everyone feels cared and respected regardless of where they reside. "

About 200 measures focused on the welfare and health care of Murcia and Murcia.

It is the summary of the program with which the candidacy of Podemos-Equo is submitted to the elections on May 26.

A document prepared after holding dozens of meetings with associations and entities working in the municipality.

"Just listening to neighbors and knowing their problems well can work for them and improve their lives.

It is what we have done, take note of their claims and build a program that aims to reduce inequalities between Murcia and Murcia.

In this sense, Ginés Ruiz Maciá, mayoral candidate for the coalition, has reiterated his commitment to improving the quality of life of the inhabitants of the capital "without distinctions, be they from the center or from the districts, have more income or less, be men or women. "

For this, the team has presented a battery of measures that reflect a "change of city model, a way to understand the municipality from sustainability and from respect for history, culture and heritage, a way of doing things with its inhabitants placed at the center of municipal policies ".

To specify more specific measures, Clara Martínez Baeza, number 2 on the list, has detailed the most urgent, which would be of immediate application.

"Triple the seats from 0 to 3 years, create an equality council, put in place a cultural passport to improve and give quality to youth leisure, solve problems in the infrastructures of schools, with the removal of asbestos in which still this harmful substance persists, improving mobility by thinking about climate change and optimizing the time and money of users, regulate rent to ensure the constitutional right to decent housing also protecting the rights of owners, implement effective measures to fight poverty, turn Murcia into a university city, protect primary care and urge the SMS to fulfill its commitments to the municipality, ensure citizen participation and transparency in the government of the Roundabout ".

These measures, said Ginés Ruiz Maciá, are urgent, but the priority, according to reiterated the candidate will be "the implementation of a plan of action in neighborhoods and districts that significantly reduce the inequality between inhabitants and the feeling among the neighbors that there are first class citizens and second class citizens ".

They are some of the objectives that are marked from the candidacy and which are the road map to work "thinking of the citizens, forgetting the interests that put the government behind Murcia and Murcia and leaving aside the star projects that, or not they are executed or suppose an inasumible cost for the City council that has to subtract budget of other games to take spectacular covers and videos of autobombo ".

Ginés Ruiz Maciá has insisted that "Murcia does not need, in the short and medium term, more lies charged with light and color, needs attention, care, respect and return to focus on the problems of day to day."
