The neighborhood of Los Rosales of El Palmar has hosted the intercultural activity 'The source of cultures', organized thanks to the Community Action Center, attached to the Municipal Center for Social Services Murcia South, belonging to the Department of Social Rights and Development Cooperation Murcia City Council, and Columbares Association.
This initiative, which is being held for the tenth consecutive year, seeks to positivize the different cultures that coexist daily in El Palmar and in the Los Rosales neighborhood, show the playful and leisure aspect of these nationalities, as well as their traditional games and enrich this diversity culture showing it, at the same time, in the same place.
The activity has consisted in the development of a series of activities that are developed around the game in its multiple meanings, such as workshops, traditional games of Murcia, as well as the different participating countries and markets of products made by participants in the workshops of the different associations that work in Los Rosales and for the benefit of Cáritas de El Palmar.
In addition, this year, the project Area of ​​Regeneration and Urban Restoration of Los Rosales de Columbares has participated in the event offering two workshops to promote the proper use of the urban sanitation network, raising awareness about the proper use of the toilet and giving alternatives to wipes that generate so many problems, generally promoting good habits at home.
The activity has been developed in collaboration with Aguas de Murcia, an organization sensitized in these matters, which has participated through its campaign 'Pipí, popo y papel', offering a participative theater show.
