The socialist candidate for the Mayor of Murcia, José Antonio Serrano, today presented the project Nature Barriomar Sustainable Business Park in order to lay the foundations of a new economic engine for the municipality and the Region.

Accompanied by the candidate for the PSOE to the presidency of the Autonomous Community, Diego Conesa, Serrano has said that the project includes the creation of a technological business center for sustainable development and clean energy.

There will be room for companies related to research or the circular economy, in addition to renewable energies.

The fact that Barriomar has been chosen for this initiative is motivated by the fact that it is in this area of ​​the south of the municipality where the land exists, qualified in the General Plan as 'equipped metropolitan park', and also because it is "a forgotten and abandoned neighborhood It needs an extraordinary and urgent revulsive We believe that this project, which we will submit to public information of citizens and collectives throughout the municipality, can be the stimulus it needs. "

In addition, coupled with this initiative, which will facilitate the creation of a complementary business and services, the urban and social action that Barriomar has been waiting for some time will be carried out.

The Sustainable Business Park project includes three zones, one parallel to the river, which serves as a buffer, with transversal links to achieve a fluid connection especially with the garden area, another intermediate for the installation of a hundred sustainable companies, taking into account account the permitted buildability, and a third zone of free spaces for a friendly assembly with the metropolitan park.

It also includes a large parking bag in the part closest to the Carretera de Alcantarilla.

For his part, Diego Conesa, who explained that this project transcends the importance of the municipality, has framed the Nature Barriomar in the objectives of the 2030 Agenda and as an example of social cohesion.
