The congress 'Más allá' delivers 3,500 euros to the Murcian Association of Childhood Dysphagia and Gastric Button (07/05/2019)

The Councilor for Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs, Jesus Pacheco, attended this morning to the delivery of the collection obtained in the Congress 'Beyond' to the Murcian Association of Childhood Dysphagia and Gastric Button.

For the second consecutive year, the organizers of the congress have donated the benefits obtained, which have amounted to 3,500 euros, 1,500 euros more than in 2018, to this association.

This success has been due to the participation of experts such as Jesús Callejo, Miguel Blanco, Lorenzo Fernandez Bueno, Carlos Canales, Hugo Semoloni, Alfonso S. Hermosilla, Raul Cabrera and the work of those responsible for the congress with Antonio Pérez of the GOIS association head.

The VI edition of the Beyond Congress, an initiative that promotes the knowledge and dissemination of enigmas and mysteries for charity purposes, was held on 23 and 24 March at the Teatro Circo.

The Murcian Association of Childhood Dysphagia and Gastric Button was created in 2015 by parents of children affected by dysphagia with the aim that families and professionals from different health disciplines, interested in dysphagia, find an information framework, rehabilitation and scientific research that contributes to a better approach to it and greater social integration.

AMDIB aims to respond to the existing problem with the different health complications that children with dysphagia may present, such as their inability to swallow food without risk to their life, their difficulty in communicating through oral language due to the affectation of the facial musculature, its respiratory problems derived from said difficulty to manage in many cases its own saliva, and its inclusion in the school environment.

The association integrates children with various pathologies, including rare diseases, neurological problems or infantile cerebral palsy, which have affected their ability to ingest food and / or liquids without risk to their health.
