Designated the 4,671 presidents, members and alternates for the 519 polling stations of the May 26 elections (30/04/2019)

56 notifiers, in the morning, afternoon and evening, will be in charge of informing the people who have been designated to perform this function.

In the municipal elections, Spanish citizens of the European Union and 11 other countries have the right to vote, while in the regional elections only Spanish citizens may participate and European citizens may attend the European convocation.

A total of 519 polling stations will be arranged by the City of Murcia on Sunday May 26 for the celebration of regional, municipal and European parliamentary elections.

Each of the tables is composed of a president and two members, with their corresponding alternates, in number of two for each position, which makes a total of 4,671 people.

The plenary session of the City council has begun the session today with the drawing of the components of the tables, who will know their designation in the next days.

This will be entrusted to 56 workers of the Statistics service, who in the morning, afternoon and evening will be in charge of locating the selected people to notify them of their designation.

In the case of municipal elections, Spanish citizens (registered in the electoral census on January 30, 2019), citizens of the European Union (who request this right before January 30) and citizens have the right to vote. of the countries of Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Norway, New Zealand, Paraguay, Peru, Iceland, Cape Verde, Trinidad and Tobago and Bolivia (provided that they had formalized between December 2018 and January 15, 2019 their intention to vote in the present municipal elections).

On the other hand, only the Spanish citizens will be able to exercise the right to vote in the autonomous elections, while for the European Parliament elections, in addition to these, the citizens of the European Union will also be able to participate.

10,000 more voters

As for the census, it increases with respect to the previous municipal elections of 2015 in 10,021 voters, until now standing at 323,714 people, of which 3,381 correspond to the CERE (community and non-EU foreigners).

In total, 134 schools will be set up with 519 tables, where 1,557 ballot boxes will be distributed.

The electoral campaign will begin at 00:00 hours on Friday, May 10 and end at 24 hours on May 24.

For this reason, the Statistics Service will make available to the different parties and groups of electors 968 panels for the posting of electoral posters distributed in 32 points of 16 panels in the neighborhoods of the city and 57 points of 8 panels in districts.
