The illusion and the spectacle will invade Murcia tomorrow with the most international Burial of the Sardine (26/04/2019)

Murcia will host tomorrow his Burial of the most international Sardine in which the show will prevail.

The itinerary of the parade is modified in this edition, begun at the beginning of San Juan de la Cruz avenue.

You will pass through Sta. Joaquina de Vedruna, Princesa, Alameda de Colón, Puente Viejo, Pza. Martínez Tornel, Gran Vía Salzillo, Pza. Fuensanta, Avda. Constitución, Pza. Circular, and Avda. Primo de Rivera, ending in the Díez de Revenga square.

This parade will feature 52 dance and entertainment groups including two winning companies of the street theater festival of Nice, elements up to 11 meters high, a band from Thailand, a Russian drum band, and four elements of France, as well as groups from Galicia, Cantabria, the Basque Country, Catalonia, Castilla y León and Andalusia.

In total, from the 23 floats will be distributed 2 million toys, of which 150,000 will be leather balls.

Before the burning, scheduled for 1 hour, there will be an aerial dance show in the Plaza Martinez Tornel, while the fireworks castle will grow 25% with four Murcia fireworks (instead of three), which will be launched from the Miguel Caballero footbridge.

Special safety and cleaning device

The Department of Traffic and Citizen Security will establish a special device that will be composed on the morning of the Burial by 140 agents and that in the afternoon will increase to 250.

In addition, various information related to the parade will be communicated through the Twitter account of the Local Police of Murcia (@MurciaPolicia).

The San Juan de la Cruz Avenue, will remain cut to traffic rolled on the morning of April 27, from the Plaza de la Constitución to C / Pío Baroja, in order to park the floats participating in the parade and facilitate access to the vehicles in charge of loading toys.

For the total closure of the itinerary, traffic intersection points will be established, where police vehicles will be used with information panels in El Rollo, down the highway with Juan de la Cierva street, down the highway with Ronda Norte (tunnel cut) and Juan Carlos I with Avda. Los Pinos, with the purpose of informing the citizen and preventing vehicles from accessing the parade itinerary and at the same time channeling traffic through alternative routes provided for that purpose.

The route of the parade will be closed to traffic according to the needs of each time and place, and as a guideline, the entire route will close between 6:00 pm and 7:30 pm.

For the closure of the itinerary, 28 traffic cut-off points will be established, in order to prevent vehicles from accessing the parade itinerary and, at the same time, channel traffic through alternative routes provided for that purpose.

These alternative routes are:

SOUTH ZONE

For the displacements that must be made from East to West and vice versa, the connection route between the West Round and the South Round is recommended, and as an alternative route in both directions, the following is established: Plaza Ing. Juan de la Cierva, C / Industria, C / Pintor P. Flores, C / Pintor Almela Costa and Ronda Sur.

Traffic coming from Avda. Ciudad de Almería will be diverted to Ronda Oeste.

NORTH ZONE

In the north zone the alternative route will be in both directions of circulation the following: Abenarabi Avenue, Juan Carlos I Avenue (from the intersection with Abenarabi Espinardo direction), Avda. De los Pinos, Avda. Miguel de Cervantes, Plaza de Castilla , Ronda Oeste or C / San Antón.

In this area it is recommended to use the Ronda Oeste and the connection with the exit of Senda de Granada, Juan Carlos I and Avda. Reino de Murcia.

It also reminds the existence of connection of the Avda. Juan de Borbón with the A-7 (Alicante motorway) and its various exits of Senda de Granada, Churra and El Puntal.

For the North-South displacements, it is recommended to use the Ronda Oeste and Ronda de Levante, Avda. Primero de Mayo and Ronda Sur.

There will also be a firefighters checkpoint consisting of 41 troops during the Doña Sardina parade, the fireworks display, the burning of the Sardine and the fireworks display.

From Civil Protection of the City of Murcia will be available an ambulance Advanced Vital-Nurse Support (SVA), a Vehicle of Rapid Intervention (VIR) with nurses, an Advanced Health Post-Hospital Campaign staff nurses and Technician in health emergencies, and also The staff of the health unit (US), the emergency intervention and prevention unit (UIPE) and the psychosocial unit in emergencies (UPSE) will be located along the entire route and surrounding areas.

This last unit is formed by psychologists and social workers specialized in emergency care of various types such as cases of gender violence, loss of children, anxiety crises or pathologies derived from alcohol consumption.

The Civil protection device will be located in the Plaza Glorieta de España, and has been established to guarantee the best health coverage to ensure a rapid response to emergencies.

More than 35 volunteers will participate in the device planned for this event.

This attention device is organized in coordination with the 061 and the Red Cross.

Thus, from the Management of 061 an Emergency Coordinating Center will be created, from which the entire operation is coordinated, a Rapid Intervention Vehicle and two Emergency Mobile Units.

From the Red Cross there will be a Campaign Hospital, located in the Plaza Circular, in front of EMUASA, nine basic life support ambulances, an ambulance for Advanced Life Support, a Rapid Intervention Vehicle and six pairs of volunteers along the route.

In addition, traffic will be restricted in the center to vehicles of 3,500 kilos on the days mentioned, with the exception of public transport, which can circulate normally.

For its part, the Department of Social Rights will set up tomorrow Saturday two violet points to raise awareness, inform and guide citizens about the prevention of sexist violence and sexist behavior: one in the Plaza de la Universidad, from 13 to 21 hours, and in the Garden of Fame, from 13 to 21 hours.

As for cleaning, the special service, composed of 265 workers, will begin at noon, where an extraordinary service will be carried out by the city, while for the parade, the cleaning team will be distributed in six areas, which are attended to the procession , to restore circulation and return the usual image of the city.

Awareness will once again be present at the parade, with the presence of the Marranos big heads of the campaign 'Do not be Marrano'.

Special Tram service of Murcia

The Department of Finance, Contracting and Urban Mobility and Tram of Murcia have established a special tram service for the Burial of the Sardine.

The start time will be the same as that of any Saturday (at 07:05 from the Infantas stop) while the end time of the service will be conditioned to the opening of the Plaza Circular, after the completion of the parade (approximately 1:45 H. of the dawn).

The start of the rush hour line is maintained at 10:00 am with a frequency of 15 minutes until 18:00 hours.

In addition, reinforcements have been planned in the time slot between 12:30 and 2:30 p.m., to improve frequencies and provide service to a greater number of users.

The traffic cut in Plaza Circular is scheduled for 6:00 p.m., at which time the partial services will start from Plaza Circular and Juan Carlos I stops towards the ends.

Between 18:00 and 21:00 hours, the frequency will be 12-15 minutes per section (Plaza Circular - Nueva Condomina Stadium and Juan Carlos I - Universities).

Starting at 9:00 p.m., the approximate frequencies of passing by stop will be 15 minutes, which are maintained until the end of the parade.

Once finished, from 01:00 - 01:30 hours approximately, reinforcement vehicles will leave from both terminals (Plaza Circular and Juan Carlos I).

At 01:45 h., Once the area is cleaned, verified and cleared, Plaza Circular will be opened to pick up the trams that are in the section of Juan Carlos I - Universities.

Last exits of programmed trams (conditioned to the opening of Circular Square):

From Juan Carlos I stop to Universities: 01:30 h.

From the Plaza Circular stop to Nueva Condomina: 02:10 h.

In the shuttle to UCAM-Los Jerónimos the service will be that of a normal Saturday until 22:05 hours from Los Rectores - Terra Natura.

From that moment the schedule is extended, with extra outputs from Los Rectores - Terra Natura to the UCAM at: 23:00 - 00:00 - 01:00 and 01:30 h.
