More than 770,000 euros goes to the City Council to promote sports among Murcia The Department of Sports promotes the call for grants, which are aimed at clubs and sports associations such as federations, sports associations and individual athletes (20/04/2019)

The City Council will allocate 772,000 euros from the municipal budget to subsidize and promote the sport base among Murcia.

The call, developed by the Department of Sports and Health, directed by Felipe Coello, aims to encourage the practice of physical activity and promote sports associations during the sports season 2018/2019.

Sports clubs, associations, sports associations, federations or individual athletes may apply for grants.

In all cases, they must prove that their registered office is in the municipality of Murcia, where individual athletes must be registered.

These funds can be dedicated to the maintenance of federated teams that participate in the highest category of national competition in the regular league, divided into two subgroups: football, indoor soccer, basketball, handball and volleyball -subsidy of up to € 365,000-;

and other disciplines of team sports, except swimming - up to € 40,000 -.

In both levels, but referred to the rest of the categories of regular league competition at the national, inter-autonomous, regional or local level, the amount is € 140,000 in the case of football, indoor football, basketball, handball and volleyball or the rest of disciplines, except swimming, up to € 40,000.

In addition, swimming activities (up to € 100,000), sports initiation programs (sports schools, up to € 20,000) and organization of sporting events in the municipality (up to € 20,000), as well as individual athletes (up to € 47,000) can be obtained. ).
