The municipal theaters will host the theatrical and musical series 'Nosotras a Escena' starting on Thursday (09/04/2019)

The Councilor for Social Rights and Development Cooperation, Conchita Ruiz, and the Councilor for Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs, Jesús Pacheco, presented this morning the theater and musical cycle 'Nosotras a Escena', a project that will take place in the Romea Theater and the Circus Theater from April 11 to June 8.

In total, the program offers ten performances in which women are the protagonists.

The councilor explained that "the project 'Nosotras a Escena', arises in response to the objectives of the Second Municipal Plan for Equal Opportunities between Women and Men, with the aim of becoming an annual event that focuses on theatrical productions and musicals carried out by women, or who deal with them, in this way, it is intended to promote the balanced presence of artistic and cultural productions of women and men within the scenic programming of the city of Murcia. "

"This theatrical and musical program is one more step in the long journey towards equality, promoting cultural equity in the public sphere and responding to the need for capacity for cultural projects created and performed by women", added Jesús Pacheco.

- Thursday, April 11: CLAUDIA

Price: 8/10/12 €

Claudia is the second show in the trilogy on History and Identity of La Conquesta del Pol Sud. Three scenic documentaries focused on the relationship between the individual experience of three women and collective history.

Onstage there are no actors but the real protagonists of the events.

Together we build bridges between individual experience and the lives of everyone.

The life experience of Claudia - communicated by her mass - is the raw material of this new scenic documentary.

- Thursday May 2: THE ISLAND
