325 young people are going to participate this summer in the language camps and stays offered by Youth (08/04/2019)

Councilor for Infrastructure, Public Works and Services and responsible for the area of ​​Youth, Rebeca Pérez, presented this morning the new offer of camps and language stays for this summer offered by the City of Murcia.

A plan for young people in the municipality that reaches 325 places.

"It is important that our young people have the opportunity to leave the municipality, enjoy leisure, meet new places and other people, as well as learn languages ​​abroad." From this council we make an effort to take part of the cost of each trip , an effort that is worth it when we know the experiences of the boys and girls and we see the illusion and the motivation that it has meant in their day to day life "said Rebeca Pérez.

Camps

They are intended for young people born between 2004 and 2007 and the registration period runs from April 12 to May 5 through the web www.informajoven.org.

On this occasion four different camps are offered, each with 50 places and different destinations.

So, this summer, you can choose between 'Nautical Camp with English: Blue Adventure, English and sailing', from July 1 to 14 in Los Alcázares and from July 15 to 28, adding a total of 100 places.

This sailor camp comprises nine 45-minute sessions, within the English workshops program, which will be held in the morning before the start of the day's activities.

They will be complemented by various workshops and activities in English such as archery, rappel, climbing, aquarobics, ecocars, surpaddel, canoes, canoes or windsurfing, pirate landing on the Mar Menor islands or Gymkhana, among others.

The 'nature camp with English will take place from July 1 to 14, in Armenteros, Salamanca, and young people can perform sports, hiking, cultural visits, climbing, rappelling, archery, or canoeing.

In the Multiadventure Camp, from July 15 to 28, in Aznalcóllar, Seville, the activities are oriented to climbing, ravine descent, hiking, multi-adventure raid, kayak, raft construction, paintball, panic jump, swimming, petanque and indiaka , among other.

Both have 50 seats each.

The price for these camps is 350 euros per participant including transportation, once discounted the economic contribution made by the City of Murcia.

In the event that the number of applicants exceeds the places summoned in each of the established camps, a public lottery will be held in order to establish the order of priority for each camp and the waiting lists for the coverage of the camps. vacancies that may occur.

These are camps on a full-board basis that include all excursions and activities and provide specialized assistance to minor attendants with different disabilities.

Language stays

But the camps are the only offer that Youth makes available to young people.

Rebeca Pérez has also announced the places for this summer of language stays in Ireland.

To develop these stays there are two shifts: the first from July 7 to 28 with 75 seats and the second from August 4 to 25 with 50 seats.

In total, 125 places for activities to be held in the city of Dublin, with a total of 20 classes per week, including material and textbooks, excursions and other leisure and free time activities.

The accommodation will be made in families residing in that city, on a full board basis and include travel, as well as the certificate of having made the language stay, issued by schools.

In addition, a personalized report is made to check the evolution of your level of English during the study time.

The cost of these trips, of 21 days is 1,200 euros, since, again the Municipal Youth Service assumes part of the price of this activity.

It is intended for young people born between 1993 and 2003, both inclusive and registrations can be made from May 12 to May 5 on the website www.informajoven.org.

If the number of preferential applicants surpasses the places summoned in each one of the established turns, it will proceed to the realization of a public draw in order to establish the order for each shift and the waiting lists in case vacancies occur.
