The University of Murcia has presented on Tuesday the agreement of adhesion of the company Prosur to the Chair of Corporate Social Responsibility, in an act that has taken place in the convalescence building.
Longinos Marín, delegate of the rector for Social Responsibility and Transparency, explained that "one of the objectives of the UMU is to open up to society and learn from it, in particular through close collaboration with companies."
An important part of this mutual enrichment is achieved through the research chairs, as is the case of the Chair of Corporate Social Responsibility "which I have been directing for nine years, as a result of an agreement signed between the University of Murcia and the Ministry of Employment, Universities, Business and Environment of the CARM, and that has the adhesion of large companies in the Region of Murcia, as well as entities of the third sector ".
The delegate expressed his satisfaction that a company like Prosur adheres to this agreement, which implies, that "it will be present in all research and dissemination of the chair" and, at the same time, that "a line will be maintained close mutual learning ".
On the other hand, Juan de Dios Hernández, general director of Prosur, has expressed that, thanks to this adhesion, "we put ourselves in the best hands to improve and advance in a field such as corporate social responsibility, so necessary in our society".
He also added that "our commitment to the UMU is firm and decided through this agreement and also through the Prosur Chair in Biotechnology."
The event has been closed by Rector Lujan expressing his pride that Prosur joins the Chair of Corporate Social Responsibility and remarked that "we must continue working in the fields in which we already collaborate and look for new ones such as internationalization".
