The general director of INSIDE explains to the students of the University of Murcia the keys to his business model (29/03/2019)

The University of Murcia has hosted on Thursday the conference 'Liwe Española: adaptation to the environment', by José Ángel Pardo Martínez, general director of Liwe Española, which took place in the auditorium of the Faculty of Economics and Business.

The talk has focused on the analysis of the origin and transformation that the company has experienced over time.

Pardo made a detailed analysis of the company's career, from its birth in the 50s in a small textile workshop of Bacons Bridge, to become a company with more than 2,300 employees and a turnover of 160 million euros.

The speaker explained that it was in the 80s when the first major transformation of the company began due to the economic crisis.

The company, already called Liwe Española, accepted the so-called "textile reconversion plan", which meant to go from 1000 to 450 workers and adapt the size of the company to a new productive reality, outsourcing a large part of the production.

At the beginning of 2000, the organization opted for internationalization, expanding its production to countries such as Morocco and Southeast Asia.

It was from the year 2004 when the appearance of INSIDE took place, which supposed the definitive bet of the company, addressing an audience between 14 and 35 years.

Finally, José Ángel Pardo emphasized the importance of people within organizations.

"That is the secret of INSIDE's success," he concluded.
