The students of the Francisco Noguera school carry out a massive plantation on the Vía Verde (28/03/2019)

About 300 small ones have planted a hundred bushes and 30 trees in this healthy route of 8.5 km, as it passes through the hamlet of San José de la Vega.

Under the motto 'Unplug and get on the train of life.

Come to the Green Route 'this initiative aims to "promote the care of the environment, encourage exercise and contact with nature."

More life for the Greenway.

Some 300 students of the Francisco Noguera Saura public school in San José de la Vega, accompanied by their teachers and the mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, today held a massive plantation on the Vía Verde as it passed through the hamlet.

In total, the children of Infant and Primary have planted a hundred shrubs of different species (mastic, sage, teocrium, pimelea, rosemary, lavender and hebe) and 30 trees (banana trees and almeces) in this healthy itinerary that can be traversed foot or bicycle and that has 2,200 trees along its 8.5 km of route, connecting the districts of Los Dolores, San José de la Vega, Beniaján, Torreagüera and Los Ramos.

Come to the Green Route 'this environmental initiative, supported by the City of Murcia, aims to "promote the care, respect and conservation of the environment and, specifically, the new Greenway;

contribute and participate in the creation and maintenance of said environment;

encourage healthy habits such as physical exercise, contact with nature and social relationships of students and their families;

decrease sedentary leisure and increase outdoor activities with family and friends ", as indicated from the school.
