Serrano warns Ballesta that "the moment has come to really portray himself: either he is with the neighbors and the burial or with the president of his party" (27/03/2019)

The socialist candidate for the Mayor of Murcia, José Antonio Serrano, believes that "we can not allow the burying of the train tracks is subject to the decision of a party that we do not know if it will govern in a few months."

Moreover, "we are facing a great project, a project for the future, which has already been decided, approved and is being implemented".

For this reason, he regrets that "the PP continues to boycott the burial, as it has done for years, and whose support from most of the Murcian society is more than proven. The people of Murcia want this project."

In this sense, Serrano urges the mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, to "take a step forward, now it is time to really portray, or is next to the neighbors who have been defending the burial of roads for decades. , or is next to the president of his party, López Miras, who is not willing to comply with the commitment to carry out this project. "

And he adds: "this is the photo that the people of Murcia want".

For the socialist candidate "the departure of tone of the president of the Community can not have the support of the mayor of Murcia, or even party discipline, because first are the neighbors who have been made a new promise, another breach is unforgivable , but also because the burial is the great project that Murcia and the municipality expect and need to improve mobility, permeability and increase equality throughout the territory.

He also stated that "the PP has never believed in this project and, moreover, its president has said publicly, that if they govern, they will recover the AVE on the surface, therefore, if Ballesta wants to show that he is with the neighbors and that the burial has no turning back should take a step forward and with courage.

In addition, he noted that the mayor declared at the last plenary session and at the request of the Municipal Socialist Group, his commitment to the burial.

"For me, words have value, especially those that come from an institution like the City of Murcia and all the neighbors."

Serrano stressed that the burial of the roads "is the great project of this region, is the revulsive that will allow us to change the face of this municipality transforming it into a connected, innovative and progressive territory .We must not lose this opportunity", and has pointed that "the PSOE when it commits to comply, the burial must not suffer paralyzations or more delays, we must continue with haste because we are late and because we must recover the trust of our neighbors."

Therefore, the socialist candidate claims the mayor Ballesta that "is dedicated to managing the resources of the City, which today are not available to assume the commitments made with the burial of the train tracks."
