The Digital Week exposes the prototype of CEUS, the brain of Murcia Smart City (27/03/2019)

The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, together with the Councilor for Modernization of Administration and Urban Development, José Guillén, and the General Director of Information Technology, Heritage and Telecommunications, Juan José Almela, attended the Murcia Digital Week today, the entrepreneurship forum digital and development of smart territories, where he has visited the replica of CEUS, the 'brain' of Murcia Smart City.

"Digital Week has become a benchmark in which all the actors of the ICT sector of the Region of Murcia come together.

Knowledge is updated and both developers and entrepreneurs carry out a work in network, a joint work in which highlights the Murcian talent. ", Said the mayor, who highlighted the collaboration of the University of Murcia in this initiative.

Abenarabi will host the crisis room and scorecard

The replica of the Single Monitoring Center (CEUS) that can be visited today in the annex building to Víctor Villegas is a prototype of the operations and control center of the Smart City platform that will be located on the ground floor of the Abenarabi building.

CEUS will become the nerve center of the beat of the smart city, from where the control room and control panel management will be directed, articulating also as a center of attention and demonstration to the citizens.

It will also have a crisis room from which to view the municipality as a whole in emergency situations and a cold room necessary for the operation of the control center.

In total, it will have an area of ​​330 m2.

From there will be managed the information received through the more than 300 smart sensors that will be installed in Murcia, as well as the system of 66 monitors that will allow to unify the control of services: 42 on Avenida Abenarabi, 9 at the Local Police Headquarters del Infante and 15 in the municipal building in Glorieta de España.

In addition, there will be 30 new cameras of last generation, of different models and specific characteristics, with the aim of expanding the sensorized area of ​​the city.

Presentations this afternoon

Digital Week, in which 20 speakers participate and more than 300 participants come together, continues this afternoon with presentations at 3:30 p.m. in room 1, starting with Raúl Juanes, from Everis.

Half an hour later it will be Emilio Duró's turn.

The round table, on artificial intelligence, will begin next and will be directed by Cristian Cantizano, Territory manager check Point Spain;

Héctor Sánchez Montenegro, Technology Director of Microsoft;

Sergio Blas, Analytics leader Spain, Portugal, Greece & Israel, IBM;

Enma Barceló, director of the Capgemini center in Murcia and Andrés Iborra, director of Technology Analytics and Geospacial Systems of Informática El Corte Inglés.

At 6:00 pm, Francisco Luis de Andrés, analyst of Cybersecurity Strategies at S21Sec, will talk about how organized crime acts in the development of its cyber attacks.

In Room 2, in the afternoon, Germán Rodríguez, from the University Center of the Defense of San Javier, will begin at 3:30 p.m.

At 5:00 pm it will be the turn of Pedro García, CEO Drónica, and at 5:30 pm Remedios González will talk about crypto-currency.

The day will conclude with White Lynx Business at 18:00 hours, informing about the advanced pocket-sized ECU.
