The Montepinar School celebrates a Cultural Week dedicated to the radio (27/03/2019)

From the 1st to the 5th of April, the students will develop different activities, which simulate a radio station, accompanied by media professionals, and participate in workshops and debates.

There will also be presentations and an exhibition, in which a tour through the history of the radio will be made and the evolution of the receiving devices will be shown over time.

The Montepinar School celebrates, from the 1st to the 5th of April, a cultural week devoted to the radio.

The journalist Beatriz Montero will be responsible for opening the week of activities with a talk entitled 'The radio wants to connect with young people.'

In addition, the exhibition 'History of the radio' will be inaugurated in which there will be a tour, from the appearance of the first receiving devices until reaching those that are currently used.

During these days, the teaching center will immerse itself in the radio world trying to reproduce all the activities that take place in a station.

They will participate in all educational levels, from Infantile to Baccalaureate.

The youngest children will make a program in English, in which they will start with the song 'Good morning' and they will continue giving the information of the time.

Next, they will surprise with their improvised answers to the questions of the director of the center, Domingo Sánchez, in a section entitled 'Who is it?

What is it?'

Also, on Wednesday, April 3, the cultural radio program 'The artists' bench' will be broadcast from the library of the Montepinar School and will have the participation of several secondary students of the center.

The Primary stage concentrates its activities on the day of Thursday, April 4, with simultaneous activities in the library, the dance hall and the technology classroom.

Throughout the day, the library of the center will work as a radio station, with programs that will be recorded in podcasts that will later be disseminated through the social networks of the Colegio Montepinar.

The students will offer news, in addition to entertainment programs and, in the afternoon, the journalist Tati García, will coordinate the gatherings with the Peace Judges and the Writers Club, as well as with the participants in the Radio Workshop, in addition to an interview to professor Nora Palao about the project 'Healthy Montepinar'.

On the other hand, 6th grade students will participate in a radio workshop, led by the journalist Oché Cortés, in which they will dedicate the morning to develop an information program, from the preparation of the news to its later dissemination.

At the same time, the Edelvives publishing house will offer storytelling sessions related to the world of radio, aimed at students from 1st to 6th grade.
