The president of the Community, Fernando López Miras, received today at the San Esteban Palace the Queen of La Huerta 2019, Isabel López, and the Queen of the Children's Garden, Candela Sánchez, whom she congratulated for her appointment as "Ambassadors of the customs and traditions of our land ", according to the Minister of Tourism and Culture, Miriam Guardiola, at the end of this meeting.
"They will be the best ambassadors throughout this year to make known the goodness of our customs, the Spring Festival and the Bando de la Huerta, which each year attracts more than 500,000 tourists to Murcia and puts on the map the Region ", remarked Miriam Guardiola.
According to the councilor, the president of the Community also thanked all the supporters' clubs and the Federation of Peñas Huertanas "for the work and effort made to maintain the customs that are part of our living legacy."
