The spokesman for Citizens, Mario Gomez, has asked the mayor of Mobility, Eduardo Martinez Oliva, to update, immediately, the conditions and limits established by the City Council for the award of public transport bonds for pensioners and retirees.
Apparently, many of them could be without these bonuses due to the increase in the pension that, despite being ridiculous, exceeds the limit set by the local Administration of 668.30 euros to receive them.
To quote an example, Gomez explained, a pensioner with a pension of 655.20 euros, and a rise of 17 euros, would be out of this bonus to exceed the limit set at 668.30 euros.
In the opinion of the Cs spokesman, "this amount set as a limit by the City is outdated after recent changes in minimum wages, and if we take into account that it was established in a 1991 plenary agreement and that, since then, it has not been revised, beyond the corresponding updates of the Multiple Effects Income Public Indicator (IPREM) ".
"We understand that it is time to address a modification and update of rates and bonuses if we want to move towards the transformation of public transport that our municipality urgently needs," he concluded.
