The City of Murcia has presented this morning the call for the XXVII Municipal Art Creation Contest, CreaMurcia 2019, with the aim of continuing to promote and promote the creativity of Murcia emerging artists.
This was announced at a press conference by the councilor responsible for the Youth Service, Rebeca Pérez.
After twenty seven years of existence, this event is a priority framework for the cultural expression of emerging artists, both in terms of production and in the exchange of ideas, being by extension a privileged showcase of new creations in the strategy of the trends of the art, contributing to reinforce the idea of ​​achieving a greater capacity for communication and artistic expression through art and forms of creativity.
The budget for this edition reaches 203,000 euros, plus an additional 15,000 euros to facilitate the use of rehearsal rooms for music groups.
The purpose of this contest is to address the multidisciplinary diversity and experimentation of current artistic practice, which includes the following disciplines: electronic, hip-hop or experimental in Music Other Trends;
painting and sculpture in Plastic Arts;
digital art, animations, installations and video art in Visual Arts;
design of garments and accessories in Fashion Design;
corporate identity, typography, editorial, graphic communication, packaging and graphics in Graphic Design;
story, poetry and micro fiction in Literature;
theater, dance, puppets, performances, monologues or circus in Performing Arts, Pop Rock, Author Song, Gastronomy, Short and Documentary, Photography and Comics.
The winners will have the opportunity to participate in the International Biennial of Young Creators of Europe and the Mediterranean, which will take place next year in San Marino.

In this edition of the Contest the calls of Fashion Design, the modality of Microrrelatos within Literature and the call, Graphic Design are maintained, being at present the contest for young artists that more disciplines summons to national level.
On the other hand, registration opens today at www.informajoven.org, which makes it possible, especially for those who reside outside Murcia, to present themselves at the event without having to formalize their registration at the Municipal Youth Service offices.
The closing of the calls will take place for Pop-Rock Music on March 28, in Music / Other Trends on April 8, in Gastronomy on April 11, in Author Song on April 16, in Photography on April 29, in Visual Arts, on May 6, in Comic on May 9, in Visual Arts on May 13, in Fashion Design on May 16, in Graphic Design on May 21, in Shorts and Documentaries on May 24, in Performing Arts on May 28 and in Literature on May 31.
In addition, and as part of the Competition, the City of Murcia, in order to promote the most prominent artists of this call, promote their participation in meetings, exchanges, events and artistic and cultural events both nationally and internationally.
The artistic mobility projects in the national territory stand out through the Tejiendo Redes program, which includes the municipalities of Murcia, Madrid, Malaga, Valencia, Logroño, Soria, Vitoria, Pamplona and Zaragoza, among others.
In this way, the City of Murcia will also include artists in the municipal programming of events such as the WAM Festival, Lemon Pop, Music in the Plazas, the Christmas Market, ADN Santa Eulalia, Fantastic Film Festival, Holiday Activities Spring and Christmas, among others.

The creativity of this edition has two messages, the first is the commitment of this contest to discover new values ​​and the visibility of young artists and the second, is the recognition of the work developed by CreaMurcia, over these years , and that has managed to give voice to all the creators.
For this reason, a graphic has been created that shows different artists before being discovered by the festival.
