A new edition of 'Murcia Diseña' has arrived, an event that aims to promote the work of Murcian designers, making them known among citizens and offering an updated vision of design.
This third edition of 'Murcia Diseña' is organized by the Espacio Molino del Río Caballerizas and the Center for Municipal Initiatives of the Region and has the collaboration of the Association of Design and Advertising Communication Professionals and the School of Design of Murcia .
The objective of the event is to take a photograph of the design panorama in the city of Murcia, because it is gradually assuming greater responsibility in the environment and is becoming an instrument of social transformation, a means of economic dynamism and a manifestation of culture.
In addition, it also wants to give visibility to the design of all disciplines, studies and professionals working in the Region.
The role of the designer is constantly evolving, becoming an active agent of society, since design is a powerful tool to innovate, attract attention, communicate, please, beautify and offer quality to the environment and the city.
This event has as its motto 'Design transforms your environment' and welcomes 50 design studios in all its disciplines, open to dialogue and communication and gives recognition to the work that designers have done and perform, as well as the attempt to give to know its national and international projection.
This year, framed in the programming of 'Murcia Diseña', the Center for Municipal Initiatives will make two calls to projects for Murcia designers to make the posters of the XXVII edition of the business project competition and the 2nd edition of the City Creativity Awards Culture and Entrepreneurship
Proposals may be sent until the 12th at 24 hours to the email address www.secretaria@dipmurcia.es.
The budget allocated is 1,200 euros, 600 euros for each of the posters.
The program will consist of an Openday on March 9 and 16, where the studies of the city, the entrepreneurial commercial area and Circular 1 open their doors to the public, from 12 to 14 hours.
On Monday, March 11, a meeting will be held between designers, companies and administration in the Espacio Molinos del Río Caballerizas at 12 noon.
On Tuesday 12 will take place a circular design workshop for the economy in the Plaza de la Circular, from 17 to 20 hours and inscriptions can be made through www.dipmurcia.es/economiacircular.
On Wednesday 13, there will be a guided tour of the interventions in commercial spaces at 5:50 pm.
The 14th day 'Design transforms your environment' will occupy the table of dialogue in the Espacio Molinos del Río stables at 7:00 p.m.
Finally, on March 21, the Conference of Marga Castaño, 'Ladiez, Wine & Design' will be held at 7:00 p.m.
