For the first time acts of Holy Week and Spring Festival of Murcia will be accessible for people with hearing impairment (04/03/2019)

With tremendous enthusiasm we want to announce that next March 10, at 12:00, at the Romea Theater, the act of the Easter Proclamation will be the first of these characteristics that will be fully accessible for people with hearing disabilities in the region.

Live subtitling (1), sign language interpreter and temporary installation of magnetic loop (2) will be available.

From our federation we bet for the elimination of communication barriers for people with hearing disabilities and for their access, on equal terms to the rest of the citizens, to the activities that take place in our region, including, among others, leisure activities and cultural.

For this reason we contacted the City of Murcia, so that people with hearing disabilities could participate in emblematic events of the traditions of the city.

As a result of these conversations we can announce that, in addition to this representative act of the Easter Week Proclamation, the reading of the Testament of the Sardine will also be provided with accessibility, in this case through live subtitling and sign language interpreter.

This work can be done thanks to the agreement that we signed with the ONCE Foundation for 2019 and the collaboration with our FIAPAS Confederation.

FASEN is the Federation of Associations of Families of Deaf People of the Region of Murcia, is the entity with the highest representation of families of deaf people in the Region of Murcia, and is composed of its associations APANDA in Cartagena and ASPANPAL in Murcia.

Subtitling is the written presentation of the sound and verbal content, which appears superimposed on the image of any medium with audiovisual contents, with the transcription of said content and which, in its execution and edition, must be adjusted to the provisions of the current technical standard.

It can be provided live, semi-direct or recorded.

The loop or loop of magnetic induction, is a sound system that transforms the signal from an audio source or microphone, generating a magnetic field that captures the prosthesis of the hearing impaired and deafblind and they perceive the sound directly, without the limitations imposed by distance, reverberation or ambient sound.

The loops can be fixed, temporary or individual type.

Its installation and adjustments must be governed by the current technical standard.
