Works in Los Garres and Aljucer will offer greater safety and accessibility to pedestrians (01/03/2019)

Different streets of Los Garres and Aljucer will be remodeled to improve pedestrian traffic.

The Governing Board has given its approval to the project and paving of sidewalks in Calles Nueva, Miguel Ángel Blanco and Mayor in Los Garres.

In the main street there is no continuity of the existing sidewalk in the vicinity of the gas station so it is necessary to undertake the execution of a cobblestone pavement that links the existing sections, while a pedestrian crossing is executed to ensure connectivity of the sidewalks on both sides of the road in that area.

In the streets Nueva, Antonio Ramírez, Francisco Pardo and Miguel Ángel Blanco the sidewalks are of different materials, which are in poor condition and whose replacement is necessary to undertake cobbled pavement, thus achieving a more secure pedestrian circulation and an aesthetic appearance and functional more adapted to the environment of the urban area of the district.

The maximum price established in the tender is 84,924 euros with a term of 4 months.

On the other hand, the relative works of paving with paving stones have been awarded from the side of the Social Center of Aljucer.

In this case, it is a renovation of the pavement section that is located on the side of the social center in the Paseo Doctor Gil Ortiz de Aljucer, providing uniformity to the pavement, forming all the cobblestone pavement.

With these works, security will be provided and accessibility to pedestrians will be improved in this section.

The works will be carried out by Workshops and Conducciones Juanito, with an investment of 11,094 euros and within a period of one month).
