The councilman of Pedanías, Participation and Decentralization, Marco Antonio Fernandez, has emphasized in the municipal Plenary the different investments realized in Barriomar, as much by the different councils as by the Municipal Meeting.

The works carried out in the last three years represent an investment of close to 400,000 euros in school, signaling, day-stay center, senior center, asphalting of streets and rehabilitation of sidewalks.

Thus, the municipal council allocates an average of 5,000 euros a year to school maintenance in addition to the action taken by the Department of education in the amount of 23,514 euros.

The traffic service has allocated 29,299.74 euros to the renewal and improvement of horizontal and vertical signage, highlighting the creation of new pedestrian crossings.

As for improvements in municipal buildings from the Department of Social Rights as well as from that of Patrimanio have been allocated a total of 39,010.46 euros to arrangements in the center of day and longer stays.

In addition, different roads have been paved, such as Río Quípar, Casas del Parra, Granada, Río Frío and Torre de los Ibáñez, among others, for an amount of 74,251.96 euros.

The Department of Infrastructure, Public Works and Services, has allocated a similar amount, 72,160.33 euros to renovate sidewalks on Avenida Ciudad de Almería, C / Torre Ibánez, C / Casas Parra, Calle Alcolea, Camino Hondo, Lane De La Nena, Camino Albadel., Among others.

To these investments in sidewalks that we must add the more than 140,000 euros that the municipal board has allocated to the different actions, being one of the boards that allocate a greater percentage of their budget to these jobs.

Likewise, several projects have already been drafted and are being contracted to improve the pedestrian mobility of Barriomar residents, such as the replacement of sidewalks on Avenida Ciudad de Almería (111,929.64 euros), on Camino Hondo (98,728.72 euros) and Torre de los Ibáñez (43,455.14 euros).
