The City of Murcia, through the Department of Modernization of Urban Management and Development directed by José Guillén, has made more than 157,000 actions since 2015 in the parks and gardens of the municipality, with an average of more than 40,000 annual repairs.
These works are registered in the Arbomap telephone platform, which allows City Council technicians through the App, from the mobile or from the computer, to control and know all the elements that make up the parks and gardens of the municipality.

Corrective and programmed actions
In the last three and a half years, two types of actions have been carried out: corrective and programmed.
The first are those that develop when an incident occurs, for example a branch of a tree in poor condition, a damaged decorative source, a pipican with a damaged fence, etc.
The second type of actions are those known as programmed, tasks that the consistory has planned in its annual calendar and which are carried out periodically in each specific time of the year.
For example, mowing the lawn, cutting some ornamental fruit trees or phytosanitary treatments.
Among the most frequent actions, from 2015 to 2018, are the revision of children's games, the treatment of lakes, the repair of banks or the recollection of grass.
Specifically, of the more than 150,000 that were carried out between 2015 and 2018, the repairs of children's games, irrigation systems or phytosanitary treatments, among others, stand out.
With this application, for example, you can also know which trees have been pruned, when they have been touched, what species are planted in a space, what green areas are nearby, and everything that makes up the inventory of the municipality of Murcia in terms of green spaces are concerned.
In addition, in the historic gardens of Murcia and districts more than 4,000 performances took place, among which we must highlight the pruning of large trees and the usual repairs of decorative elements and children's games.
Likewise, a total of 360,000 trees (with a 128,000 platform) have been checked and pruned, 84,000,000 m2 of lawn mowed and more than 1,300,0000 kilos of fruit collected.
In this way, the City Council continues to perform numerous daily activities with the sole purpose of making Murcia and its districts spaces for relaxation and enjoyment of nature.
