We keep moving forward. ']

The program includes exhibitions, conferences, workshops, forums, and musical and sports activities, highlighting the first 'Creators' gala, which seeks to highlight the work of women in different cultural, artistic and social disciplines.

The Department of Social Rights, directed by Conchita Ruiz, has prepared a complete program of activities to commemorate the Women's Day that is celebrated on March 8.

This program includes exhibitions, conferences, workshops, forums, and musical and sports activities

Conchita Ruiz explained that "under the slogan 'Do not stop, we keep moving forward', initiatives of various kinds have been programmed, with the aim of making the women themselves protagonists, as well as raising awareness and informing all citizens of the benefit it brings to the whole of society, equality between women and men ".

In this way "it is proposed to open a space in the public awareness that it is necessary to strengthen equality between women and men and continue to conquer new challenges to achieve a more just and developed society." To achieve this we must think and act eliminating any discrimination gender reason, supporting the balanced presence of women and men in all areas of life and vindicating personal, work and social conciliation and co-responsibility, "said the councilor.

In addition, this year we want to "show progress in achieving rights and opportunities for women in our country that is being an example for the process of social and political change of women in other countries of the world, without forgetting the double difficulties which women from different ethnic groups, women with disabilities, and those who carry out work traditionally carried out by men have to face every day ", pointed out Ruiz.

Of the programming highlights the Creators Gala that will take place on the 7th, at 4.30 pm, and that seeks to value the work of women in different cultural, artistic and social disciplines, with the intention of reaffirming their role and emphasizing the recognition within the professional sector to which they belong.

Throughout the day there will be various activities in which the role of women in different artistic disciplines will be reflected and explained, through the experience of the twelve Creators who have been selected for this first edition.

The Romea Theater will become a space for debate where the experiences of real women in different arts will allow us to know what the role of gender has been throughout the years in each of the disciplines.

This first edition of 'Creators' will feature the participation of artists Sonia Navarro, Mari Quiñonero, Carmen Cantabella and Tatiana Abellán;

of the photographer Marta Caparrós, of the fashion designers Paula del Vas and Ana Gabarrón;

of the singers Carmen Carmesí and Alondra Bentley;

of the dancer Ana Botía, the violista Ana MbA and the actress Eva Llorach.

In addition, the work of the different creators can be known in an interdisciplinary exhibition that will be installed in the Sala Caballerizas, and that will remain open until March 22.
