Cs will demand a Mayor's Table to coordinate and plan the municipal actions with the experiences and work of collectives and entities of Murcia (26/02/2019)

The mayor of Citizens Paqui Perez will defend a motion in the plenary on Thursday calling for the implementation of a technical table of the Mayor, similar to that established for the participation of children and adolescents, whose purpose is to establish actions and strategies between the City Council and those groups, associations and entities that work in the field of the elderly.

"It is essential that we establish, through this Mesa del Mayor, a coordinated strategy that allows us to move forward, with real measures, in active aging and alleviate this unwanted loneliness," he said.

In this sense, Perez recalled that last October a motion was approved unanimously to address the loneliness of the elderly within a majority table that has met on rare occasions, and to prepare an aging plan. active and against loneliness.

"Unfortunately, the mayor has lamented 'orange'," we continue without moving in this direction, beyond the commitment made by the local government, at the request of Cs, for the application of equal criteria in the distribution of grants and that all older of the municipality, without exceptions, can carry out their annual activities program ".

In the municipality of Murcia there is a wide network of volunteers, groups, entities and associations that are already implementing actions to promote active aging, alleviate the loneliness of grandparents and act in the case of those elderly in a situation of special vulnerability.

"You only need to coordinate and plan these experiences and work together to obtain the best results," concluded Pérez.
