The PSOE attributed to the PP the overcrowding in old buses and expensive prices, "which is not the best invitation to park the car" (26/02/2019)

The Socialist Group will present a motion on Thursday to expand bus line 28, which runs between Sangonera la Verde and Murcia, two nearby towns whose journey takes three quarters of an hour to complete.

What happens in this line is far from being something sporadic within the public transport system in the municipal area, as explained by councilor Juan Vicente Larrosa, who detects "deficiencies that are repeated often and that cause discomfort in those who They launch the adventure of getting on the bus. "

"The problem is widespread and is increasing in the districts, it is evident the lack of connection between the two and this forces us to go through the capital to get around, in addition there is an inadequate frequency and the bus fleet is old, with too many coaches with more than 10 years of life, which means that travelers are crammed into vehicles and without a doubt that is not the best invitation for Murcia and Murcia to leave their cars parked and bet on public transport, "he explains. Larrosa

The rates are another disadvantage -1,85 euros in parishes.

"They are expensive prices and nothing has been done to unify the rates, now the Department proposes another study to recover lines, but they are late, because this is something that should have been done for a long time and will take time to regenerate the public transport lines because both the mayor, José Ballesta, and his councilman Eduardo Martínez-Oliva have not done the job and it will take several years to be able to have a restructuring of lines, "said Larrosa.

The deficient service has other repercussions that negatively affect, for example, the lack of use of municipal facilities, as many users do not come to use them precisely because of the difficulty they encounter to reach them from the place where they reside.

The public transport is a problem that comes from afar and affects an aedile that is no longer in the City.

"Roque Ortiz delayed the creation of the Transportation Bureau, Martínez-Oliva has let her die and Ballesta has not done anything to prevent it," says Larrosa.

The councilor of the PSOE recalls that in several budgets has increased the allocation for public transport in the municipality and then has not come to use that money.

Larrosa also criticizes that "the Autonomous Community, which is the one that manages the lines of districts, does not put even one euro for the adequacy of the lines and everything has to leave the municipal coffers as it happens with the Buhobús and the line 26B that arrives to San José de la Montaña and that covers only the City Council.

"A game of five million euros from the regional government to the lines of districts is insufficient and the PP government team, with Ballesta in front, only knows about photos, but public transport is still a real disaster," concludes Larrosa.
