The spokesman of the municipal group of Cambiemos Murcia, Nacho Tornel, will ask the government team in the plenary on Thursday to allocate financial resources to correct the "deficiencies" of the indoor pool of Bacons Bridge, inaugurated in 1999 by the former mayor, Miguel Angel Camera.
Tornel explained that this infrastructure covers the sporting needs of the students of eight public schools in Murcia and the population of several districts of the eastern area such as Zarandona, El Llano de Brujas, Casillas, Monteagudo and Beniaján, as well as Puente Tocinos.
In a visit to the pool, which is one of nine heated in the municipality, the council was able to verify that, as reported by several users, it accumulates a series of defects that "have not been remedied in the 20 years it has been open ", derived from the lack of investment and attention from the political leaders of the Consistory.
Among the deficiencies, has highlighted problems in the closure of the windows that lead to the exterior of the pavilion and wear of the doors that separate the interior bathroom area and the solarium and summer pool, which has forced staff to seal some of them with American tape, and of the folding windows, since some do not fit or are broken. "The same problem of sealing is found in the windows of the changing rooms, causing annoying drafts, and in the doors that do not work the latches ", has supported in his motion the mayor of the municipal training, which has warned that the consequences of these damages can mean an extra cost in energy expenditure.
