The PSOE regrets that the employment policy of the PP resembles the role of a temporary employment agency (18/02/2019)

Sebastián Peñaranda says that the City can do much more, especially when during this mandate have abandoned industrial estates, aid for self-employed and entrepreneurs have not been distributed and the Pact for Employment is not convened

The Municipal Socialist Group has criticized on several occasions "the limited involvement of the PP in active employment policies, limited to acting as an intermediary between citizens eager to find a job and companies, a role of temporary employment agencies" , according to Councilman Sebastián Peñaranda.

"Today we have been offered a memory that is nothing more than a list of figures, a mere statistical description, with the total of people who have been oriented in the Employment service, the number of women, men and young people or the number of agreements, which to us seems excessively insufficient when we are in a municipality with around 33,000 unemployed ", explains the mayor.

It also states that the PSOE has been demanding that the City Council be an active party in the promotion of employment, creating favorable conditions for companies to create jobs.

"It must assume a greater role and not remain a superficial role of attention to the unemployed and unemployed in the municipality, especially when young people leave in search of a job outside and when one of the main concerns of this society is unemployment" .

For Peñaranda, "much more can be done from the City Council, especially when industrial estates have been abandoned during this mandate, the grants for self-employed workers and entrepreneurs have not been distributed due to poor management and the Pact for Employment, to which they united all the political parties to proposal of the PSOE, it is not summoned ".

In addition, he adds, training facilities are obsolete, money is not spent for training and "now, when the airport is underway, they take the courses to prepare future workers".

Likewise, he points out that, "to top it off, today we read in a communication media how SMEs and freelancers from districts and neighborhoods in Murcia run a serious risk of closure because the PP has been betting for large stores for too long."

"This is the truth of the employment policy of the City Council, where the PP has decided to go by a path of indolence and apathy, leaving their neighbors and neighbors with employment problems to their fate," he concludes.
