Cs again demand the figure of an interventor and a mixed technical management of the CARM and the City of Murcia to oversee the works of burial (08/02/2019)

Mario Gomez: "We have been warning for years about the lack of control and supervision of the PP and the PSOE of works plagued by extra costs that are paying all Murcia"

Murcia, Friday, February 8, 2019. The spokesman for Citizens, Mario Gomez, has once again demanded "a clean, dignified and future project for Murcia that guarantees the correct execution of the burial works in Murcia, at a price fair and under independent technical supervision of Adif ".

In this sense, Gómez has referred to the extra costs and lack of control over which the orange formation has been warning these years, both the PP and the PSOE;

and that confirms a report from the Court of Auditors to point out that the cost of burying in El Carmen shoots 207% more than expected, which means 400 million euros more than stipulated in the initial agreement of 2006.

Avoid arbitrary cost overruns

For this reason, Citizens have once again demanded the figure of an auditor to supervise each and every one of the costs and awards of the works of the AVE;

as well as a mixed technical direction of the CARM and the City of Murcia to endorse the certifications of the work carried out based on the projects already approved.

"Both figures, explained the spokesman of Cs," would be responsible for ensuring the proper execution of the works, avoiding new arbitrary and unjustified overruns and preventing once again be the Murcia who have to pay the political excesses of bipartisanship in around the burial ".

Initiation of a file

Likewise, Gómez has requested the initiation of a file -which could be directed and evaluated by the figure of the interventor and the mixed technical management- to review the contracting procedures carried out both from the initial project and from all the modifications made. and complementary projects;

as well as the works awarded by means of compensation to the Board of Landowners, to Aguas de Murcia and to the rest of the service companies affected.

"It is necessary to root out this lack of control and prevent the entry of the AVE to Murcia becomes a new case of misappropriation of public money and corruption, as occurred in the Crevillente area;

and that, once and for all, light and stenographer to a process that is generating millions of euros extra to Murcia society ", has ended.
