The University of Murcia has convened the 1st Prize for the best doctoral thesis on gender equality, an initiative that aims to encourage research in this area and is part of the actions taken by the institution to promote effective equality between women and men.
The award seeks to recognize and promote excellence in work on gender equality or research that incorporates the gender perspective as one of the categories of its analysis, whatever the academic discipline in which the work is focused.
All the doctoral theses presented at the University of Murcia that have been defended in the 2017/2018, 2016/2017 and 2015/2016 courses and have an outstanding cum laude qualification will be able to compete.
The prize is endowed with 1,200 euros.
The deadline for submitting applications ends on March 22.

The promotion of research on gender in different areas of knowledge and disseminate its results is part of the objectives of the I Equality Plan of the University of Murcia.
