Among the participants are the jurists Allan R. Brewer-Carías and Luis María Díez Picazo
This Tuesday, February 5, the dean of the Faculty of Law of the University of Murcia, David Lorenzo, and the Professor of Administrative Law and coordinator of the organizing committee, Julián Valero, will present at a press conference the XIV Congress of the Spanish Association of Teachers of Administrative Law, which will be held on February 8 and 9.
This year, the congress celebrates the twentieth anniversary of the Contentious Administrative Jurisdiction Law and will analyze the current situation of citizen protection vis-Ã -vis the administration, will propose proposals to improve the current regulation and some of the challenges of the present and future, as the presence of new technologies.
The Congress will include international reference jurists, such as Allan R. Brewer-Carías (Caracas, 1939), a benchmark for Law in Latin America and who, among many other actions, opposed the 1999 Constitution, currently in force in Venezuela, for considering it undemocratic.
Luis María Díez Picazo will also participate, one of the Spanish civil law referents¸ president of the Contentious Administrative Chamber of the Supreme Court and the jurist who voted for the tax on legal documents of mortgages to be paid by the client and stopped thus the sentence that indicated to the banks.
