The rector of the University of Murcia (UMU), José Luján Alcaraz, visited last Friday the headquarters of Postres Reina, located in Caravaca de la Cruz.
Luján, accompanied by part of his rectoral team, was able to see firsthand the operation of the first dairy desserts operator at a national level.
The president of Grupo Desserts Reina, Alfonso López Rueda, along with several members of the steering committee, showed the team of the University of Murcia the Queen dessert factory, as well as the new CIDI (Center for Research, Development and Innovation).
The rector of the UMU highlighted the importance that business groups such as Queen Desserts have for the Region of Murcia and, specifically, for the academic world.
These are "employment generating companies, trainers of great professionals and are committed to innovation and research," said Luján.
For his part, Alfonso López Rueda wanted to thank the visit to all the rectoral team, underlining the need for large companies to support and work side by side with universities, which are the ones that train the professionals of the future.
