On January 29, at the El Batel Auditorium in Cartagena, the V SIME Ordinary Congress will be held, at which the new components of the Regional Coordinating Committee will be elected, in which the presence of His Excellency Mrs. Ana Belén Sánchez Castejón, Mayor of the Hon.

Cartagena for its opening.

During this day, delegates attending will discuss various papers, to establish the strategic lines of the union during the next four years.

This debate will focus on the following areas: statutes and regulations, union strategy and economic presentation.

Founded in 1997, the SIME is a social and progressive workers' organization that has around 2,000 members, and that has broad representation in the different Public Administrations, as well as entities and companies of indirect management to the public service in the Region of Murcia.

Organized in its structure into union sections that have full autonomy in the development of their trade union activity, it also has a regional structure that cooperates when required and supports the sections by providing general services such as legal advice, training, and other services for members. .

Currently, the SIME has union sections in the following public administrations: Town Hall of Alcantarilla, City of Cartagena and associated agencies, City of Mazarrón, City of Murcia, Torre Pacheco City Council, City of San Pedro del Pinatar, City of San Javier , Santomera City Council, Los Alcázares City Council, Jumilla City Council, Molina de Segura City Council, Totana City Council, Águilas City Council, Abarán City Council, Pliego City Council, University of Murcia and Veterinary Clinic Foundation, Polytechnic University of Cartagena and Community Autonomous Region of Murcia.

Likewise, it also has union sections in public companies, such as: Urbamusa, Emuasa, Cedeto, FFIS, Ferrovial, TSI Levante.

In addition, in order to improve the services of its affiliates and to be up to date on what is happening in the different administrations of other communities, the SIME is part of the CIEP Interprofessional Coordinator of Public Employees, a private entity of a civil nature, service of public employees, integrated by representatives of different Public Employees organizations, such as: Union of Public Employees of the Valencian Community (SEPCV), Union of Workers of the Riojan Administration (STAR), Union of Public Employees of the Canary Islands (SEPCA) ), Association of Officials of the Public Administrations of Navarra (AFAPNA), Independent Union of Public and Private Employees of Cantabria (SIEP), Union of Workers of the City of Zaragoza (STAZ) and CSIT Professional Union of Madrid.

After more than twenty years supporting public employees, SIME continues to ADVANCE and GROW INDEPENDENT, fighting to defend and improve the working conditions of all public workers, offering more and better services.

For this reason, at the V Congress of SIME, on January 29 at the El Batel Auditorium in Cartagena, the representatives of each and every union section will meet, establishing together the steps to be followed in the future of the organization .
